Hollie Lyons

Hollie Lyons, a Senior Solicitor and an LIV Accredited Specialist in Criminal Law, has been an integral part of our team since 2019, focusing her practice exclusively on criminal defence. Her dedication to securing optimal outcomes for clients from diverse backgrounds is evident in her committed advocacy. Hollie's expertise spans a wide array of matters including driving and traffic offences, serious drug cases, sexual offences, firearm charges, and homicides. She regularly appears in the Magistrates' Court for both indictable and summary proceedings and extends her representation to trials in the County Court, with additional instructing roles in the Supreme Court and Court of Appeal. Hollie's legal journey began with her Practical Legal Training at the Leo Cussen Centre for Law, followed by valuable experience at Melasecca Kelly & Zayler. Her involvement in community services as a Court Paralegal and intern at the Barwon Community Legal Service honed her skills in family violence matters and legal document drafting. Further education at Deakin University and international exposure through study abroad programs at Universidad Nacional de Lanús and Widener University School of Law enriched her legal understanding, particularly in international human rights and US legal systems. As a Committee Member of the Geelong Law Association, Hollie remains actively involved in the legal community.
