Lisa Searing

Lisa Searing, a Director and accomplished criminal lawyer, is known for providing legal representation with both knowledge and compassion. Born in Pomona, California, Lisa's upbringing in an ethnically diverse family and her studies in African American culture inspired her interest in justice. Relocating to Australia in 1990, she pursued law at Griffith University, completing her Bachelor of Laws in 2005 and a Bachelor of International Business in 2007. Admitted as a Solicitor in the Supreme Court of Queensland and the High Court of Australia, Lisa has been dedicated to advancing justice in the legal system. Lisa's legal career began at the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions, where she realised her passion for criminal defence. Since 2010, she has been representing clients charged with sexual offences, violent offences, drug-related offences, and serious fraud. Joining Allen & Searing Criminal Lawyers in 2015, she became a partner in 2019, reinforcing her commitment to ensuring fair representation for her clients. In addition to her legal practice, Lisa serves the community as the president of the Macleod Accommodation Support Services Committee, providing refuge and support to women and children fleeing family violence.
