Abe Arends

Abe Arends is the principal of Arends Legal Solutions with over 22 years of experience in compensation law, family law, and estate administration. His legal journey began after completing two years of full-time Articles of Clerkship, leading to his admission as a solicitor in the Supreme Court of Queensland in 2003. In his early career at a general practice firm, Abe honed his skills in various areas including commercial litigation, notably handling a passing off application for a security company. He then transitioned to a city-based compensation law firm where he was instrumental in launching a family law practice. Throughout his career, Abe has worked with several prominent firms such as McNamara Law and Slater & Gordon Lawyers, gaining substantial experience in personal injury claims and family law matters. At McNamara Law, he served as both a special counsel and senior associate, further deepening his expertise in compensation law. His role at Carter Capner Law as an associate allowed him to blend his knowledge of personal injuries and family law effectively. Abe's educational background includes a Bachelor of Laws from Queensland University of Technology, following his early education at St Joseph's College, Gregory Terrace. Outside of his professional life, he is a dedicated father of two, enjoys golf, running, and hiking, and has been involved in coaching his son's soccer team in Brisbane.
