Damindi Senanayake

Damindi Senanayake serves as the Principal Solicitor and founder of our firm, bringing over 17 years of expertise in Migration Law. Admitted as an Australian Legal Practitioner since 2006, Damindi also holds a Master's Degree in Law from Monash University, obtained in 2002. Before practising law in Australia, she contributed as a Legal Research Assistant and tutorial instructor in Contract Law at Monash University. Damindi's legal journey began in Sri Lanka, where she was admitted as an attorney-at-law in 1997 and licensed as a notary public and company secretary. Her experience as a Legal Officer at major private sector banks provided her with extensive insights into Commercial Law. Subsequently, she served as a State Attorney at the Attorney General’s Department in Sri Lanka, focusing on Criminal Law, including cases of abduction, wrongful confinement, torture, and murder. In Australia, Damindi gained valuable experience in several boutique law firms in Melbourne, working across areas such as Conveyancing, Family Law, Migration, and Wills and Probate matters. As the principal solicitor of Aus-Asian Migration & Legal Consultants for the past 17 years, she manages all aspects of the practice. This includes client interviews, drafting submissions, preparing applications, and representing clients before tribunals, courts, and other authorities. Her career is marked by a long list of successful outcomes and satisfied clients. Known for her approachable and friendly nature, Damindi ensures her clients always feel at ease.
