Tamsin Johnston serves as the Managing Director at her firm, leveraging a robust dual qualification as a solicitor to provide comprehensive legal advice to a diverse clientele. Her clients include ASX listed entities, government departments, multinational corporations, and private individuals. Her extensive expertise spans commercial, employment, and immigration law. In her commercial practice, Tamsin guides foreign companies through the intricacies of Australian expansion, assisting with incorporation and functioning as an Australian director when necessary. Her facilitation extends through every phase of expansion, including listings on Australian stock exchanges. Tamsin's significant experience with nationwide Australian Government immigration contracts positions her uniquely to navigate and advise on compliant immigration pathways. Since 2017, Tamsin has operated as a Partner at Australian Presence Legal, a full-service law firm in Greater Sydney. Her role involves providing strategic guidance across various legal areas, including mergers and acquisitions, capital raising, and joint ventures, alongside company structure consultations and shareholder agreements. Additionally, she oversees property transactions, including residential and commercial conveyancing, commercial leases, and compliance with Foreign Investment Review Board requirements. In immigration, Tamsin manages an array of visa matters, from skilled migration and business innovation to partner and visitor visas. She supports clients facing visa overstays and deportation threats, offering comprehensive advice and assistance. Her proficiency also extends to merits and judicial reviews concerning immigration decisions. Tamsin's prior experience includes her tenure at Playfair Visa and Migration Services, where she led the onshore humanitarian department. This role involved providing migration assistance under the Primary Application Information Services (PAIS) program and coordinating task forces nationwide. Her management skills were also demonstrated in staff recruitment, human resource oversight, and compliance. Her earlier legal career included positions at Hooker Attorneys, where she specialised in general and insurance litigation, as well as debt collection. Tamsin developed and delivered legal opinions to insurers and handled cases across the High Court and Magistrates’ Court, including settlements and client management. Tamsin commenced her legal journey at Ronald Bobroff & Partners, initially as a candidate attorney. Her educational background includes an LLB from the University of Johannesburg and a Bachelor of Commerce in Finance from Bond University.
