Robert Brown

Dr Robert Brown is an experienced lawyer admitted in 2018, with a comprehensive background in various areas of law including estate, contractual, conveyancing, children’s, family, and criminal law. He has practised in both Wollongong and Sydney, appearing in numerous courts across New South Wales and Canberra. Robert’s legal career is supported by a strong academic foundation. He completed his Law degree at the University of Wollongong and also holds an Honours Degree in the History and Philosophy of Science, as well as a PhD in Computer Science. Prior to practising law, he was a university lecturer at the University of Wollongong. A lifelong resident of Wollongong, Robert maintains deep connections to the Illawarra community. Outside of his legal work, he pursues a passion for traditional Japanese martial arts, holding 14 black belt grades across multiple disciplines including sword, staff, and longbow. He actively shares his expertise by teaching sword and staff techniques at several clubs in Wollongong and Western Sydney.
