With experience as an Investor Relations Officer for an ASX-listed company and a commercial lawyer at a prominent Australian firm, Tom offers a comprehensive approach to legal solutions. He adeptly navigates various legal areas, including commercial law, property and conveyancing, wills and estates, and financial services law, delivering tailored advice to his clients. Since December 2016, Tom has led Blackhurst Law, a boutique firm in Surfers Paradise, Queensland. His firm is renowned for its practical advice and exceptional client service, assisting clients with property transactions, estate planning, and business legal matters. Prior to this, Tom directed Ducat Consultants in Southport, focusing on business strategy and commercial consulting, where he provided strategic advice and developed marketing campaigns. Earlier in his legal career, Tom was a lawyer at Thomson Geer in Brisbane, gaining experience in corporate, commercial, and financial services law. His work included mergers and acquisitions, capital raisings, and drafting financial documentation. Before his legal career, Tom worked with China Magnesium Corporation, where he honed his skills in investor relations and communication. Tom holds a Bachelor of Laws with Honours and a Bachelor of Commerce in Finance from Bond University, along with a Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice from The College of Law Australia.
