Mark Herbert has cultivated a distinguished career in law, commencing his journey as a solicitor in 1996 following a commendable 15-year tenure as an infantry officer in the Australian Army. He began his legal career in a small practice in Young and Harden, and subsequently joined Blaxland Mawson & Rose in 1998, swiftly rising to the role of partner the following year. In 2005, Mark was recognised by the Law Society of NSW for his expertise in Business Law. With a keen interest in small business legal solutions, he has guided numerous clients through the complexities of business purchases, sales, and the restructuring of entities, ensuring optimal operational efficacy. His proficiency extends to serving clients in the rural industry, where he has garnered significant experience in orchestrating farming business succession plans. Beyond his specialised expertise, Mark has practised across diverse areas, including general property law, employment and industrial relations, commercial and personal injury litigation, succession planning, and criminal law. As he nears retirement, Mark is stepping back from direct client engagements to focus on training and mentoring the firm's younger solicitors.
