With over two decades of experience encompassing legal, business management, and board roles across the Asia Pacific region, Michelle possesses a wealth of knowledge particularly honed during her tenure as a senior media executive in the technology, media and entertainment sector. Her counsel is highly sought after by business executives and leadership teams facing diverse and complex strategic and innovative legal and business challenges. At Blue Space Legal, she addresses legal and business issues for a diverse range of clients, from Fortune 50 and NASDAQ-listed enterprises to startups. Previously, Michelle served as Assistant Regional Counsel for Warner Bros. Discovery from 2008 to 2020, where she was a senior executive advisor for the TV networks business in over 15 APAC countries. Her role involved leading complex projects, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and business development while managing high-performing legal teams. Her board membership at TurnOut Ventures Limited, an interactive digital gaming joint venture, further highlights her adaptability and leadership within the global legal landscape. Michelle commenced her legal career with King & Wood Mallesons, specialising in Corporate/M&A and Financial Services law, and continued to refine her expertise as an Associate with A&O Shearman. Her early career also included a role as Secondee Counsel at Citi, strengthening her extensive financial services law foundation. Michelle’s educational credentials include a Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Laws (Honours) from Macquarie University, complemented by a Graduate Diploma of Applied Finance and Investment from FINSIA and a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice from The College of Law Australia.
