Noor Blumer

Noor Blumer is a distinguished founding partner and director of Blumers Lawyers, with extensive experience in personal injury law since 1992. She has led significant cases in areas such as Workers Compensation, Medical Negligence, Motor Vehicle Accidents, and Public Liability. Noor holds a Master of Laws from the ANU and is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. Her exemplary leadership includes serving as Past President of the Law Society of the Australian Capital Territory, the Australian Women Lawyers Association, and the Australian Lawyers Alliance. Noor's contributions to the legal community were recognised when she became the inaugural ACT Woman Lawyer of the Year in 2016. In 2021, she was appointed Adjunct Professor at the University of Canberra's Faculty of Business, Government & Law. In 2026, Noor was honoured as a member of the Order of Australia for her significant services to the law, legal profession, and community. That same year, she received the Diversity Leader Award from the Asian Australian Lawyers Alliance, celebrating her commitment to promoting cultural diversity and inclusion within the legal profession. Noor's involvement extends to serving on committees and working groups within the Law Council of Australia, focusing on topics such as access to justice, judicial appointments, and equalising opportunities in law. She also served on the ACT Racing Appeals Tribunal and the board of the Brave Foundation, showcasing her dedication to both the legal field and broader community interests. Noor balances her professional life with personal passions for playing the piano and Scrabble, and a spirited approach to challenging insurance companies.
