Jessica King

Jessica King is a senior solicitor at Bressington & Partners, where she leads the criminal law department and contributes to the commercial, disputes, and litigation teams. Joining the firm in 2021, she offers clients a comprehensive range of legal services. Raised in Rockhampton, Jessica was admitted as a solicitor to the Supreme Court of Queensland in 2009 and to the Register of Practitioners of the High Court of Australia in 2022. Her career includes a role as Associate to The Honourable Judge Britton SC of the District Court of Queensland, followed by positions at the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions and the Queensland Police Service. With over a decade of experience in criminal prosecutions, she possesses an in-depth understanding of prosecutorial processes. As the head of the criminal law department, Jessica has handled a wide array of cases involving criminal, traffic, mental health, and domestic violence matters. Her regular court appearances before the Magistrates, District, and Supreme Courts of Queensland, and a significant appearance as instructing solicitor in an Appeal to the High Court of Australia in 2022, underscore her dedication to ensuring procedural fairness and justice for her clients.
