Franco Camatta

Franco is a founding director and head of our firm's Corporate and Commercial team, renowned for his expertise in a broad spectrum of legal disciplines including corporate and commercial law, insolvency law, finance and securities law, property law and conveyancing, as well as business and industrial law. His dedication to the legal profession and the community is evidenced by his involvement with prestigious organisations like the Insolvency Practitioners Association of Australia and the Australian Institute of Judicial Administration. Franco has also contributed to the operations of the Federal Court of Australia via the Liaison Committee and maintained a focus on social welfare through the South Australian Council of Social Services. In addition to his legal practice, Franco is a qualified mediator and currently presides over Relationships Australia (SA) Incorporated. His international expertise was highlighted during his engagement with the Asian Development Bank to aid in drafting securities laws for Laos. On a national scale, he serves on the Australian Health Practitioner Regulatory Agency. Franco is also an esteemed educator, having coordinated the Commercial and Corporate Practice course for The Law Society of South Australia’s Graduate Program, and continues to influence future legal minds as an adjunct Associate Professor at Flinders University Law School and a lecturer at The University of Adelaide.
