With a distinguished career spanning more than three decades, Barbara has made her mark as an Accredited Family Law Specialist since 2002 and an Arbitrator since 1997. Her dedication to best practices and innovative approaches has helped ensure that even smaller firms can deliver exemplary service. Barbara is adept in managing complex family law and estate matters, often involving multi-million dollar estates, multiple trusts, and extensive properties. She takes pride in supporting families with their legal needs at every life stage. Having led a substantial firm with nearly 20 staff members, she now embraces a more balanced lifestyle, offering her legal expertise three days a week, while still engaging in locum work and travelling to clients as needed. Her professionalism and empathy have inspired numerous lawyers she has trained throughout her career. Operating from the Australian Capital Territory, Barbara offers online services globally, ensuring clients receive sound legal advice regardless of their location. Her current focus includes Mediating Family and Estate Law disputes, Arbitrating Family Law matters, locum work, Estate Law, and select Family Law cases. As a STEP member, she has access to a network of international Estate Lawyers and advisers, enabling her to manage both local and international estate matters efficiently. Barbara's pursuit of knowledge is evident in her educational achievements, including a Masters in Estate Law and a Diploma in Military Law obtained during her service in the Navy as a legal officer. She is also a trained mediator, having completed advanced courses in this discipline. Now, while maintaining her dedication to her clients and mentoring the next generation of legal professionals, Barbara enjoys kayaking, bike riding, golf, and participating in her book club. Her greatest joy, however, comes from spending time with her two children and five grandchildren.
