Effie Gidakos

Effie Gidakos is the Principal of Choice Legal, Lawyers and Business Consultants, where she has been a driving force since founding her own legal practice in 2004. Her vision led to the establishment of Choice Legal in 2005, and under her leadership, the firm has continued to thrive. Effie's dedication to providing accessible and pragmatic legal services has been instrumental in the firm's success. A Barrister and Solicitor of both the High Court of Australia and the Supreme Court of Victoria, Effie's academic background includes a combined Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Law from the University of Tasmania. She further expanded her expertise with a Masters in Entrepreneurship and Innovation from the Australian Graduate School of Entrepreneurship and undertook postgraduate legal training at the Leo Cussen Institute. Her professional journey encompasses a rich blend of roles across private practice and the corporate sector, including positions as an In-House Counsel, Contracts Administrator, and Business Development Manager in the property and construction industries. This diverse experience has cultivated her understanding of delivering Efficient, Expedient, and Effective solutions to her clients. Beyond her legal career, Effie has contributed significantly to the community. She served as an Associate Director on the National Board of Directors for CanTeen, an Australian organisation supporting young people living with cancer, where she was also a dedicated volunteer. Her commitment to community service extends to volunteering at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre. A former competitive tennis player and coach, Effie has achieved success both on and off the court.
