Hayder Shkara

Hayder Shkara is the Director at Collective Family Law, bringing a unique perspective shaped by his background as an Olympic athlete representing Australia at the 2016 Rio Games. Transitioning from sport to law, Hayder established his own practice in 2017, which paved the way for his leadership role within Collective Family Law. He has extensive experience across a broad range of family law matters, including financial and property settlements, parenting arrangements, divorce proceedings, wills and estates, consent orders, and binding financial agreements. Hayder is recognised for his effective advocacy in court and his ability to guide clients through complex and emotionally charged situations with clarity and empathy. Holding a double degree in Law and Communications from the University of Technology Sydney, Hayder combines legal expertise with strong communication skills to ensure clients’ needs are clearly understood and addressed. He also plays an active role in mentoring legal professionals within the Collective Family Law network, fostering a collaborative environment and promoting meticulous attention to each case. Outside of his professional commitments, Hayder values resilience and connection, qualities he nurtures both in the high-pressure world of family law litigation and in his personal interests such as padel.
