Luke Connolly

Luke Connolly, Principal of Connolly Workplace Law, has cultivated a distinguished career over more than 27 years in workplace relations, employment, and safety law. He began his professional journey as a corporate trainer with Accor Asia Pacific, gaining valuable insights into the dynamics of training and quick thinking. His legal career took shape at prominent firms such as Freehills and Clayton Utz, where he excelled, progressing to the role of Special Counsel. Luke's expertise spans across various Australian jurisdictions, including Victoria, New South Wales, and South Australia. In 2010, Luke undertook a significant role at Mills Oakley, where he was tasked with establishing their Workplace Relations Team. Achieving this milestone, he ventured out independently, founding Connolly Workplace Law in 2013. Driven by the belief that workplace relations necessitate a boutique approach, Luke has developed a practice centred around practicality, responsiveness, and cost-effectiveness. His model rejects the traditional high overheads of larger firms, allowing him to offer competitive rates without compromising on quality or expertise. Luke holds a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Newcastle and a Bachelor of Business from Victoria University. He is admitted to practice law in Victoria, South Australia, and New South Wales, as well as the High Court of Australia. Outside his legal practice, Luke is also the Director of CircaSail Pte Ltd, a luxury yacht charter provider, further reflecting his diverse interests and entrepreneurial spirit.
