

Andrew Woods is a consultant lawyer with over 30 years of experience in VCAT Guardianship and Administration, Estate Planning, Estate Litigation, and Succession issues. Andrew collaborates with clients to deliver clear advice and achieve effective legal solutions tailored to their needs. After qualifying, Andrew spent two years in a country legal practice before moving to Melbourne, where he worked with Equity Trustees for over 16 years. In 1998, he achieved Accredited Specialist status in Wills and Estates with the Law Institute of Victoria. Between 2001 and 2011, Andrew managed the Wills and Estates section of a large law firm in Bermuda, working with a diverse clientele from international ultra-high net worth individuals to local clients with modest needs. In 2012, Andrew returned to Victoria, regaining his Specialist Accreditation in Wills and Estates. Before joining David Davis as a Consultant, he practiced in mid-tier law firms and a trustee company in central Melbourne. A recognised figure in his field, Andrew was named a Recommended Lawyer in Estates and Succession Planning in 2020 and has been acknowledged in previous years for his contribution to Wills and Estates Litigation. His memberships include the Law Institute of Victoria and the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP), where he serves as a committee member of the Victorian branch. Andrew's international experience and connections through STEP provide valuable access to expertise worldwide when international advice is needed. Outside his professional life, he enjoys walking and cycling, often visiting local coffee shops along the Capital City Trail. An avid traveller, he cherishes time with family and friends and has a passion for cruising and rail travel.
