

Margot de Groot is the esteemed director and founder of de Groots Wills & Estate Lawyers, a prominent law firm with offices in Brisbane, Sydney, and Melbourne. With over three decades of experience, Margot has dedicated her career to estate planning, deceased estate and trust administration, and estate litigation. Her commitment to legal excellence and innovation is exemplified by her completion of the Business Management Program at Harvard Business School, highlighting her dedication to integrating business acumen with legal practice. In 2004, Margot was acknowledged as a finalist in the Telstra Business Women's Awards, underscoring her influence and leadership within the legal community. As a Notary Public and the founder of the Queensland branch of the International Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP), Margot has made significant contributions to the field. Her role as a founding member of the Queensland Law Society Succession Law Committee further cements her legacy in shaping succession law in Australia.
