Her legal journey began in New Zealand, where she practised as a Barrister and Solicitor with AWS Legal before making a move to Brisbane's Deacons, now Norton Rose Fulbright. Fiona's academic credentials are robust, with a Bachelor of Commerce and a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Otago, complemented by a Master of Laws from the College of Law, specialising in Wills and Estates. Her commitment to continued professional development is underscored by her graduation from the Australian Institute of Company Directors. Admitted as a Solicitor in Queensland in 2005 and initially in New Zealand in 2002, her extensive legal experience is matched by her leadership roles and community involvement. Passionate about basketball, Fiona is not only a former representative player but also a National Panel referee, having been recognised three times as Queensland Female Official of the Year. Her leadership extends to her role as Chair of Basketball Queensland and her position on the board of NoosaCare. Fiona's professional memberships include the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners, reflecting her commitment to her field and the broader community.
