Noel Duffy

Noel Duffy is the Principal of Duffy Lawyers, bringing over two decades of extensive expertise in business and private client advisory. His practice encompasses business and trust structuring, commercial affairs, wealth management, asset protection, as well as wills and estate planning. Noel serves a diverse clientele including high net worth individuals, business proprietors, large investment entities, sporting figures, and international clientele, alongside trustees of self-managed superannuation funds. Before relocating to Australia in 2004, Noel amassed over 13 years of experience in London focusing on estate and asset planning and management. During this time, he was the Head of Trusts for the renowned Guinness family, managing their global trust investments across various portfolios and real estate holdings, and advised on estate and taxation strategies. In his earlier career, Noel was part of the Official Solicitors office and a notable law firm in London, serving both in the UK and California, with special emphases on trusts, offshore structures, and property portfolios. After his move to Brisbane, Noel contributed to a prominent commercial law firm as a partner before establishing Duffy Lawyers in 2009. As a proud member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) in Queensland, Noel holds the distinction of obtaining his STEP membership in the UK following rigorous examinations and over a decade of practice in trusts, taxation, and estate law. He is also an associate of the Taxation Institute of Australia. Noel holds an LLB (Hons) from the University of Oxford and began his legal career as a Solicitor in England and Wales in 1995, later admitted in Queensland. His early education includes a BSc in Economics from Queens University Belfast.
