Patrick Dwyer serves as the Legal Director at Dwyer Harris, where his expertise encompasses financial services regulation, corporate transactions including acquisitions, fundraising, and joint ventures, as well as commercial agreements and financing transactions like lending and asset finance. His clientele includes financial services providers and major industrial companies who value his clear, commercial advice and high level of service. With extensive experience acquired both as an in-house legal counsel and in private practice, Patrick has built a reputation for managing significant legal projects. His former role as General Counsel and his practice in the US with an international firm honed his skills in mergers and acquisitions, capital markets, and asset finance. He effectively led large transactions involving joint ventures, major asset sales, financial product development, and compliance projects for leading financial institutions. Patrick’s background also includes positions as a ministerial adviser and compliance manager, contributing to his multifaceted understanding of legal and regulatory frameworks. He graduated with a Bachelor of Laws with First Class Honours from the University of Technology, Sydney, and holds a First Class Honours degree in Arts from the University of Sydney, complemented by a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice from the College of Law, Sydney. Admitted to practice in New South Wales, Victoria, the Australian Capital Territory, the High Court of Australia, England and Wales, and New York, Patrick is also a public notary, adding further depth to his legal capabilities.
