Rachel Sinclair

Rachel Sinclair is the Director and Principal of Eastern Legal and brings a wealth of expertise in both Wills & Estates and Family Law. Her dual focus allows her to provide comprehensive advice, given how these areas often intersect. Rachel's extensive experience in estate planning includes advising on and preparing Wills, Testamentary Trusts, Enduring Powers of Attorney, Advance Care Directives, Superannuation Death Benefit Nominations, and Letters of Wishes. She adeptly handles succession planning for small to medium business owners, farming families, and clients with blended or complex family dynamics. Her proficiency extends to deceased estate administration, managing applications for Probate and Letters of Administration, as well as navigating complex and contested estates. In Family Law, Rachel is recognised for her pragmatic and results-driven approach. As a qualified mediator, she focuses on mitigating the need for litigation but possesses substantial court experience when required. Her practice covers matrimonial and de facto property settlements, children's matters, child support, and financial agreements. Before founding Eastern Legal in April 2022, Rachel honed her skills at reputable firms including Jordan & Fowler Family Lawyers, Jacqui Ion Lawyers, and HWL Ebsworth Lawyers. She began her legal career at Nicholls Gervasi Lawyers, practising across various fields including Criminal Law and Personal Injury. Rachel earned her Bachelor of Laws from the University of Adelaide. Outside of her professional endeavours, she is the dedicated mother of two children and finds balance through quality time with friends over a relaxing glass of wine.
