James Story

James Story is an Associate with experience exclusively in family law since his admission to practice in October 2021. He holds a Bachelor of Arts (2017) and a Juris Doctor (2020) from the University of Melbourne. James has developed a broad understanding of family law matters, including parenting arrangements and relocation, property disputes and financial agreements, child support and spousal maintenance issues, enforcement and contempt proceedings, as well as family violence intervention orders. Before his admission as a lawyer, James worked as a Deputy Associate at the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia, primarily within the Family Law and General Federal Law jurisdictions. This role gave him valuable insight into court processes and procedures, enhancing his ability to navigate complex legal matters effectively. James is committed to providing advice that is both insightful and compassionate. He values attentive listening and aims to deliver practical, objective, and realistic guidance, while always advocating firmly for his clients’ best interests.
