Rachael Power

Rachael Power is a dedicated Partner at Gordon Garling Moffitt, continuing her family's legacy as the fourth generation to practise law in Grenfell. Rachael was admitted to the Supreme Court of New South Wales in 2003, the Supreme Court of Western Australia in 2004, and to the High Court of Australia in 2006. Her journey in law began at the University of New England, where she pursued a double degree in Commerce and Law, realising early on that her passion lay in the legal sector rather than accounting. After her admission, Rachael's legal career took her to Western Australia, where she gained practical experience in both suburban and regional settings, focusing on Family Law and Wills. Her return to New South Wales marked the beginning of her tenure at Gordon Garling Moffitt in 2007, where she expanded her practice areas to include Criminal Law, Wills and Estates, and Conveyancing. Rachael's appointment as a Partner in 2020 was a testament to her commitment and resilience during a challenging period. Her approach to law is client-centric, aiming to alleviate stress and provide clear, comprehensible advice regardless of the complexity of the situation. Her ability to transition effectively between formal courtroom advocacy and straightforward client communication is central to her practice. Beyond her legal work, Rachael is deeply embedded in the Grenfell community. She has contributed significantly to local fundraising efforts, holding executive positions within the Grenfell Public School P&C Association and participating in various community events. Her involvement extends to supporting the Grenfell Henry Lawson Festival and engaging with the Grenfell Amateur Swimming Club. Rachael balances her professional and community commitments with personal interests, including reading, enjoying podcasts, and engaging in outdoor activities like walking her dog.
