John Hammond

John Hammond serves as Director, bringing over 40 years of legal expertise in civil litigation, commercial disputes, crime, employment law, and local government law. Admitted to practice in 1985, John has practised as both a barrister and solicitor in Western Australia, showcasing a deep understanding of diverse legal areas. His extensive experience encompasses advising individuals, companies, and partnerships on a wide range of commercial and litigious matters. Renowned for his appearances as Counsel, John has adeptly represented clients in most Courts and Tribunals within Western Australia, as well as at Royal Commissions, local government inquiries, and disciplinary boards. His ability to navigate media and public relations is crucial in mitigating damage to personal reputation and managing corporate risk. John's dedication to local government is exemplified by his tenure as Mayor of the Town of Cottesloe from 1997 to 2003, and his role as Chairman of the Town's Town Planning Scheme Review Committee from 1999 to 2003. His contributions were recognised in 2002 when he received the Centenary Medal for service to local government. Beyond his legal practice, John is a familiar voice and face in media, having contributed to radio stations 6PR and SEN Radio, along with appearances on Channel 9 and 7.
