

About Jason
Jason Jacobson has been a proud resident of the Gold Coast since 1978. His academic journey began at Broadbeach State School, followed by Miami State High, where he served as captain in 1987. He pursued studies in Arts at the University of Queensland before embarking on a Law degree at Queensland University of Technology in 1990. He later transferred to Bond University on a scholarship, where he graduated in 1994. Jason commenced his career with a five-year articles of clerkship at the Southport firm of Price and Roobottom in 1990. He was admitted as a solicitor of the Supreme Court of Queensland in 1995 and the Supreme Court of New South Wales in 1996, with his name entered on the roll of practitioners of the High Court of Australia the same year. Since 1991, Jason has dedicated his career exclusively to private client criminal law defence, gaining extensive courtroom experience across Queensland, New South Wales, and the Northern Territory. His dedication to criminal defence is complemented by a personal interest in sport and fitness, and he enjoys a fulfilling family life with his spouse and three children. In 2001, after 11 years at Price and Roobottom, where he was appointed a partner, Jason co-founded Jacobson Mahony Lawyers with Darren Mahony. The firm started as the sole Gold Coast law firm focusing exclusively on private client criminal defence law, consistently achieving success due to the focussed efforts of highly experienced client advocates.
