Hazra Ahmed serves as the Director and Principal Solicitor at Kanoon Law Group, bringing a wealth of experience from both the private and public sectors. Graduating from Griffith University in 1996 with a Bachelor of Laws and two Arts degrees focusing on Modern Asian Studies and International Law, Hazra was admitted to the Supreme Court of Queensland in 1999. Her legal journey began with a general practice law firm, where she gained valuable experience across various legal areas, including family law, personal injury, wills and estates, probate, conveyancing, and commercial law. Throughout her career, Hazra has worked in a range of environments, from small suburban practices to large private firms and corporate organisations. Her previous roles include serving as a Senior Solicitor at the Queensland Law Group and working with Legal Aid Queensland, where she focused on family law, dispute resolution, parenting matters, and domestic violence. She has also contributed her expertise in personal injury law during her tenure as Legal Counsel at Suncorp Group. Ms Ahmed is admitted as a legal practitioner in the High Court of Australia and is a member of the Queensland Law Society and the Family Law Practitioners Association.
