Meri is a Senior Associate in our Real Estate and Hotels team, bringing over 13 years of experience assisting institutional and private sector clients with complex property transactions. She has worked extensively with property and hotel owners, developers, and financiers on a breadth of commercial dealings across Australia. Meri plays a leading role in managing due diligence processes, negotiating pre-exchange contracts, and overseeing completion for her clients’ key transactions. Her experience includes acting for notable institutional property owners including AMP Capital, Challenger, Dexus, Mirvac, Elanor Hotels Group, Time & Place Property, and Avari Capital Partners. Having worked both in top-tier law firms and within an institutional REIT environment, Meri combines a strong understanding of commercial imperatives with careful legal risk management. This dual perspective enables her to deliver solutions that align with clients’ business objectives while ensuring sound legal compliance. Among her significant achievements are overseeing the delivery of a $154 million greenfield expansion at Orion Springfield Lakes, Queensland, and managing developments at South Village Kirrawee, New South Wales. She has also negotiated numerous hotel acquisitions and related management agreements, contributing to successful investment and development outcomes. Meri’s expertise encompasses large-scale real estate acquisition, disposal and development, due diligence for acquisitions and financing, high-volume commercial, industrial and retail leasing, as well as hotel management and investment arrangements. She holds a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Economics from Macquarie University, was admitted to practice in 2004, and is a member of the NSW Law Society.
