Demetrio Zema

Demetrio Zema serves as the Director and CEO of Squared Group, the umbrella organisation for Law Squared, Cubed by Law Squared, and Tetra Claims. His leadership involves crafting unified strategies and steering the group's operations. Demetrio founded Law Squared in 2016, initially as a solo practice transforming into a multi-jurisdictional firm recognised for its innovative, fixed-cost legal solutions across Australia, New Zealand, and the UK. His entrepreneurial spirit led to the creation of Cubed by Law Squared in 2025, a Microsoft 365-native platform enhancing legal operations, and Tetra Claims, which offers a tech-driven approach to third-party insurance claims management. Demetrio's expertise extends to advising senior executives on governance, strategy, and complex commercial issues, earning accolades for his contributions to the legal industry. His community involvement is significant, chairing Expression Australia and the Royal Tasmanian Society of the Deaf and Blind, participating in scholarships and advisory boards at Monash University, and directing the family-run Zema Estate in South Australia. His career began at Ligeti Partners, focusing on insurance and commercial dispute resolution, followed by a role at Logie-Smith Lanyon, where he further honed his legal skills. Demetrio holds a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of International Relations from La Trobe University, establishing a strong foundation for his legal and advisory career.
