Robert Burns is the principal and director of Burns Law, a respected firm established in 1993 on the southside of Brisbane. With a strong reputation for providing robust and pragmatic legal advice, Robert is dedicated to protecting the legal rights of his clients. His commitment to client service and quality has cultivated ongoing client loyalty and firm growth over the years. With a career that started as a solicitor in Queensland in 1992, Robert soon realised the need for a progressive law firm offering personalised services akin to larger firms, but with a more relaxed and cost-effective approach. This vision led to the foundation of Robert Burns & Associates, now known as Burns Law. Outside of his legal pursuits, Robert enjoys playing the saxophone, performing with a SKA band, and exploring off-road adventures. Robert practices in various legal disciplines including litigation and commercial law, with a particular emphasis on serious criminal offences such as sexual offences and major drug matters. Amongst his achievements is the successful defence of clients in one of Australia’s largest amphetamine production cases, contributing to his nearly 100% success rate in criminal matters. His relentless advocacy ensures that no stone is left unturned in pursuing the best outcomes for his clients. His qualifications include a Bachelor of Laws from Queensland University of Technology, and he is admitted as a solicitor of the Supreme Court of Queensland, Australian Capital Territory, and the High Court of Australia, as well as a barrister of the Supreme Court of New South Wales and Australian Capital Territory. A proud member of the Queensland Law Society, Robert is a zealous defender of his clients' interests and leads a team that shares his commitment to excellence.
