David Littlejohn

David Littlejohn, Principal and Founder of Littlejohn Legal, embarked on his legal journey as an Associate to Judge Tim Wood QC in 1998 and was admitted to practice in 2000. Holding a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Arts in Russian Language and Literature from Monash University, David developed a diverse legal career. He served as a Member of the Victorian Bar from 2001 to 2007, followed by roles as a solicitor within several Victorian government departments and private firms. In 2014, he established Littlejohn Legal and expanded the practice by acquiring Michael Benjamin & Associates and Rigoli Lawyers. David’s practice encompasses Commercial Law, Property Law, Family Law, Criminal Law, Litigation, and Dispute Resolution. His experience includes high-level advisory roles, litigation management, and serving as a trusted advisor to both individuals and businesses. A former Barrister, David is known for offering end-to-end Court representation, ensuring continuity and expert guidance throughout the legal process. Throughout his career, David has cultivated a keen interest in sectors such as health, education, childcare, hospitality, and the arts, providing tailored legal solutions to these industries. As a Special Counsel at Russell Kennedy, he advised on matters for government, health, and not-for-profit clients. His tenure as Legal Counsel for the Metropolitan Fire Brigade saw him address issues ranging from legal policy to commercial and employment law. His previous roles include Principal Lawyer at the Department of Education, where he managed personal injury and liability claims, and General Counsel roles that involved strategic legal advice to senior government officials. David's multi-faceted experience, from managing extensive legal teams to directing critical investigations, underscores his comprehensive understanding of both legal practice and organisational dynamics. David's formal education is complemented by advanced studies, including a Graduate Certificate in Public Sector Management and the Company Directors Course.
