A graduate of Melbourne University Law School, he played a pivotal role as the principal lawyer at Legal Aid Queensland’s child support division and held the position of special counsel at Manby and Scott Child Support Lawyers. Simon's expertise is further evidenced by his contributions as a published textbook writer on child support law, and his role as the child support editor of the Family Law Review, where he published over eight peer-reviewed articles. His regular appearances as counsel in the Family Court, including the Full Court, highlight his profound understanding of the child support system.
