

Kim Bailey, a lawyer admitted to the Supreme Court of NSW in 1997 and subsequently to the Federal and High Courts of Australia in 1998, offers a wealth of expertise in civil litigation and dispute resolution. With a Bachelor of Laws with Honours and a Bachelor of Arts from Macquarie University, Kim is also a nationally accredited mediator through the Law Society of NSW. Her extensive career, spanning over two decades, includes significant experience as a Senior Associate with Price Waterhouse Coopers Legal, where she represented some of Australia's largest insurance companies in civil matters such as coronial inquests, class actions, personal injury, and business interruption claims. Kim’s legal practice encompasses a range of areas, including employment law, medical negligence, personal injury, wrongful deaths, coronial inquests, trespass, and nuisance matters. Her work in employment law addresses issues like employment contracts, unfair dismissal, bullying, harassment, general protections claims, workplace investigations, and whistleblower complaints. Beyond her legal practice, Kim serves as an adjunct senior lecturer with the Australian Graduate and Policing School at Charles Sturt University, contributing to the development of the Bachelor of Laws curriculum. She holds a Fellowship with the Higher Education Academy of the United Kingdom and is the author of Practical Legal Ethics, published by Thomson Reuters. Kim is also actively involved with the Law Society of New South Wales' Ethics Committee and sits on the boards of two not-for-profit organisations. Currently, Kim is a part-time lawyer at McIntosh McPhillamy & Co in Bathurst, New South Wales. She also maintains a hybrid role at Charles Sturt University, combining her legal practice and academic responsibilities. Her education also includes a Certificate in Theology with Honours from Moore College, underscoring her diverse academic and professional foundation.
