Richard Mitry

Richard Mitry is a founding partner of Mitry Emerson Lewis, having previously co-founded Mitry Lawyers in 2009. His legal career includes tenures at top-tier firms in Sydney and Dubai. Richard's academic credentials boast a Bachelor of Laws with First Class Honours from the University of Sydney, alongside a Bachelor of Economics and Social Sciences. Renowned as a go-to lawyer for influential figures in business, politics, and entertainment, he provides counsel and representation in commercial and dispute matters. His clientele features ASX-listed and private companies spanning sectors such as property, finance, childcare, aged care, and large-scale hospitality, as well as family offices and high net worth individuals. His proficiency in handling high-profile cases endows him with a keen understanding of the balance between strategic thinking, care, and discretion. Richard is also an accredited mediator under NMAS, facilitating mediations in commercial disputes. His academic contributions include an appointment as an Adjunct Professor of Law at OP Jindal Global University in India, where he lectures in alternative dispute resolution and media law.
