Mee Lian Beier

Mee Lian Beier is the Principal and a Public Notary at her practice. With a commendable academic background, she holds a LL.B (Hons) from the University of London and is a Barrister-at-Law from Middle Temple, England. Mee Lian is admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor in the High Court of Malaya, the Supreme Court of Singapore, and as a Lawyer in the Supreme Court of New South Wales. Her authority extends to being a Barrister and Solicitor of the High Court of Australia, a Legal Practitioner of Victoria, and an Australian Registered Migration Agent since 2007. Appointed by the Chief Justice of Victoria, she became a Public Notary on 22 June 2017. Mee Lian's legal journey commenced with her formal training in England, followed by professional stints in Malaysia and Singapore. In 2002, she migrated to Australia, seamlessly continuing her legal career. Her expertise spans property law, commercial law, corporate governance, leasing, and immigration law. Her practice history includes managing her own firms in Malaysia and Singapore and serving as the in-house legal adviser for a notable Japanese-owned department store prior to her move to Melbourne. Her legal acumen is complemented by her ability to represent a diverse clientele, including individuals, families, small and medium-sized businesses, non-profit organisations, and finance companies. Fluent in English, Mandarin, and Malay, along with Cantonese and Hakka, Mee Lian leverages her language skills to connect effectively with clients of Asian backgrounds, particularly new migrants establishing their lives in Australia. As a registered Migration Agent, she has facilitated numerous relocations through skills, business, family, and work visas since 2007. Mee Lian combines her extensive legal knowledge with a genuine passion for helping clients achieve their personal, business, and corporate objectives efficiently. Outside of her professional pursuits, she is an avid golfer, enjoying regular rounds at Yarra Bend GC and Goonawarra GC. Together with her husband, she delights in travelling to explore new golf courses, with cherished memories of playing amidst the scenic Alps in Austria.
