Kevin Munro

Kevin Munro brings over four decades of expertise in tax and superannuation, having established Kevin Munro and Associates in 1994 and Munro Lawyers in 2007. His career began with pivotal roles, including serving as a partner overseeing tax at Gadens Lawyers from 1986 to 1994. Kevin's previous professional experiences encompass positions as a solicitor at Baker & MacKenzie, a tax manager at Greenwood Challoner Chartered Accountants, and a research officer with the Tax Institute of Australia. Kevin offers comprehensive advice to clients, particularly focusing on professional firms and their clientele, covering areas such as business restructuring, federal taxes including income, capital gains, and goods and services tax, as well as state taxes like stamp duties, payroll, and land tax. His expertise extends to superannuation, estate planning, and the intricacies of tax audit and litigation matters. His involvement in the sale and purchase of businesses and companies showcases his innovative and creative approach to navigating the complexities of evolving tax laws. In addition to his advisory role, Kevin is actively involved in professional education, delivering lectures and workshops for various prestigious organisations such as the Taxation Institute of Australia, the CLE Centre, The Law Society of NSW, and the College of Law. Kevin's contributions to the field are further supported by his status as a Chartered Tax Adviser with the Taxation Institute of Australia and his membership in the NSW Law Society’s Advisory Committee for Small Business Accreditation. He is also associated with the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners and Family Business Australia. With a Master of Commerce, a Bachelor of Agricultural Economics, and as a 1979 Churchill Fellow, Kevin is dedicated to sharing knowledge through various publications authored by his team.
