About Zoe
Zoe Navarro serves as the Director and Principal Lawyer at Navarro Lawyers, a firm she established in 2018, with a strong emphasis on criminal defence, domestic violence, and traffic law. Admitted to practise in the Townsville Supreme Court in May 2011, Zoe's legal journey commenced after completing her studies at James Cook University. During her time at university, she gained valuable experience working as a law clerk for a reputable criminal law firm, contributing to complex criminal cases. Zoe's career has been dedicated to criminal defence, initially spending two years in private practice in Brisbane before returning to Townsville. Her experience includes roles at the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Legal Service and various private firms, extending her expertise to jurisdictions such as Mount Isa, Ayr, and Palm Island, where she continues to represent clients regularly. In December 2022, Zoe achieved the distinction of becoming an Accredited Specialist in Criminal Law in Queensland, making her the only lawyer in the Townsville region to hold this recognition. Her memberships include the Queensland Law Society and the Townsville District Law Association, and she actively contributes as a committee member for both the Queensland Law Society Future Leaders and Criminal Law Committees. Zoe's extensive legal acumen, robust advocacy skills, and deep commitment to her clients have cemented her reputation as a leading figure in the Townsville legal community.
