Joel Stower

Joel Stower is a Director at O’Neill Family Law and a lifelong resident of Toowoomba, having completed both his schooling and university education locally. He began his legal career in 2016 and has experience across diverse areas including Civil Litigation, Crime, Mental Health, and Domestic Violence before joining the Family Law team in 2019. Joel’s practice focuses on complex parenting matters, often involving sensitive circumstances where domestic violence is either current or historical. He is recognised by clients for delivering clear and practical legal advice with genuine empathy, ensuring clients feel supported throughout their legal proceedings. He is admitted as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Queensland and is registered on the High Court of Australia Register of Practitioners. Joel maintains active professional memberships with the Queensland Law Society and the Family Law Practitioners Association. Outside his legal role, Joel enjoys hands-on DIY projects and values time spent with his family. A former professional athlete, he remains engaged with local sports through coaching and administrative roles in various Darling Downs organisations, reflecting his ongoing dedication to community and sport.
