Sharelle Kusay

Sharelle Kusay is the Principal Solicitor and founder of Perseverance Law, located in Gatton’s main street in the Lockyer Valley, Queensland. Strongly connected to her community, Sharelle is committed to building genuine, long-term relationships with her clients. She fosters an approachable and supportive atmosphere within her practice, prioritising the needs and concerns of everyday people. Recognising the complexities and emotional challenges that often accompany legal matters, she provides clear and compassionate guidance throughout the legal process. Sharelle earned her Bachelor of Laws from the University of Southern Queensland and holds admission to practise law in Queensland as well as before the High Court of Australia. She developed her legal expertise during her time at Emmerson Legal & Accounting, where she worked as a solicitor. Prior experience includes roles at Legal Aid Queensland as a Litigation Support Officer and at TASC Legal and Social Justice Services as a Legal Administrative Assistant, laying a solid foundation in client service and case management. Her dedication to the legal profession is reflected in her participation in the Trainee Solicitor Program at Queensland University of Technology and her volunteer service with the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions in Queensland. Complemented by degrees in Psychology and Legal Studies, Sharelle’s broad academic background informs her empathetic and well-rounded approach to legal practice, allowing her to be a trusted adviser and advocate. She regularly assists clients with matters in family law, including domestic violence issues, as well as criminal law.
