With over two decades dedicated to the legal profession, Carolyn assists clients in securing and facilitating development projects and operational licences, working with development, tourism infrastructure, and government entities. She offers strategic advice to local governments, excelling in drafting local laws and planning instruments. She is recognised for her proficiency in resolving and litigating cases in the Planning and Environment Court and Court of Appeal, particularly regarding major project approval pathways and environmental regulations in South East Queensland. Her efforts extend to vegetation clearing and environmental offsets, including compliance with koala habitat regulations. Operating from Australia’s tourism hub, Carolyn specialises in advising on tourism projects, theme park development, and liquor licensing. Her commitment to regulatory compliance is evident in her ability to design systems that enable risk management and statutory obligations for government stakeholders. She also imparts practical knowledge and skills training, enhancing regulatory processes. In academia, Carolyn is an Associate Professor of Law at Bond University, focusing on environmental law.
