Peter Long

Peter Long is highly regarded as one of Australia’s leading litigators for small agribusinesses and rural enterprises. With 38 years of practice under his belt, Peter has successfully handled thousands of cases, achieving significant legal victories for small businesspeople in the country's regional areas. In recognition of his exemplary work, Peter received the Australian Plaintiff Lawyers Association Civil Justice Award in 1997, following his successful representation of several thousand farmers affected by cattle contamination from a cotton pesticide, Helix. His expertise also extends to other landmark group actions such as the Federal Court Acatak litigation, where he represented hundreds of graziers with tick acaricide contamination, and the Federal Court Alfarm class action involving defective farm machinery.
