Ben Moffat is a seasoned partner with over two decades of expertise in corporate and commercial law, focusing on mergers and acquisitions and fundraising initiatives, encompassing both debt and equity strategies. He has honed his skills at prestigious law firms in Scotland and Australia, complemented by substantial in-house legal experience. Ben's extensive portfolio includes advising on public and private asset transactions, share purchases, capital and debt fundraisings, restructurings, joint ventures, shareholder agreements, and compliance matters, particularly for ASX-listed companies. His practice spans diverse sectors such as transport, aviation, defence, agribusiness, oil and gas, commercial property, IT, and financial services. Ben has represented a broad spectrum of clients, including major banks, listed companies, superannuation and hedge funds, private enterprises, partnerships, and trusts. His approach is marked by a dedication to delivering commercial results within specified timeframes and budgets. Currently a partner at Rydge Partners, Ben previously served as Special Counsel at Rydge Evans Lawyers, contributing significantly for over seven years. His earlier roles include corporate and commercial positions at Marque Lawyers, an investment-focused senior legal role at QSuper Limited, and senior positions at Holding Redlich and Burness LLP.
