Admitted to practice by the Supreme Court of Victoria in 1998, Stephen began his professional journey as a Police Officer before transitioning into law. After completing his law degree, he served as a Police Prosecutor with the Victorian Office of Public Prosecutions. In 2003, driven by his dedication to justice, he established Schembri + McCluskys. Stephen has extensive experience in family, criminal, and civil litigation, having appeared in all Victorian jurisdictions, including the Magistrates’ Court, County Court, Children’s Court, and Supreme Court. Whether in court or providing straightforward legal advice, he consistently prioritises his clients' best interests, leveraging his significant expertise to deliver favourable outcomes. He is skilled in negotiation and navigating the complex legal landscape to mitigate the financial and emotional impacts on his clients. Outside his professional life, Stephen enjoys spending time with his family, relaxing at the beach, and travelling. His dedication extends beyond law, as evidenced by completing over 30 marathons. An avid Beatles fan, he collects memorabilia and is passionate about restoring historic buildings. As a committed Essendon Football Club Member, he finds joy in community and shared interests.
