Navid Sedaghati

Navid Sedaghati is the Founder and Principal of Sedaghati Law, where he leads a dynamic practice in litigation and mediation. With over 15 years of experience, he focuses on commercial disputes and personal injury cases. A graduate of the University of Law, Navid has gained recognition in arbitration and has represented high-profile clients in complex legal matters. His role as a barrister at 13 Wentworth Selborne Chambers enriched his expertise in Building and Construction Law, Commercial Law, Corporations Law, Planning and Environment Law, and Private International Law. Navid’s legal journey is marked by a rich array of roles and responsibilities. As a Principal Solicitor and Mediator, he engages in strategic counsel and representation across complex disputes, projects, infrastructure, renewable energy, and corporate advisory. His advisory services extend to corporations, boards, senior executives, project participants, and private clients, covering transactions, procurement, contracting, litigation, regulatory matters, and dispute resolution. His tenure at CPB Contractors saw him leading the legal team on the Warringah Freeway Upgrade, managing end-to-end legal work for significant infrastructure projects. His practice also included roles as an Adjunct Lecturer at UTS Faculty of Law and as a Principal Solicitor at NS Lawyers. Navid's advisory work spans the IT, telecommunication, and consumer electronics sectors, including international contract negotiation, risk allocation, and dispute prevention strategies. Navid has held directorships, board appointments, and was previously the General Counsel and Head of Legal at Amber Beverage Australia. As a senior legal leader, he managed legal, compliance, corporate governance, and commercial dealings, including negotiating international agreements and managing risks across advertising, marketing, and public relations initiatives. With academic accomplishments including a PhD from QUT and a Master of Laws from The Australian National University, Navid’s scholarly contributions complement his professional achievements.
