Irene Benny

Irene Benny is a dedicated Solicitor at Serein Family Law, having joined the firm in November 2023. With a Bachelor of Laws from Deakin University, where she attained a Distinction average, and a Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice from the Leo Cussen Institute, Irene has steadily advanced in her legal career, especially in the realm of family law. She was admitted to practice in March 2023 and has since amassed substantial experience handling various family law matters such as property and parenting issues, spousal maintenance, financial agreements, divorce, and intervention orders. Irene's journey in law began with roles as an administrative assistant and paralegal, offering her a solid foundation before advancing to roles as a solicitor at Aston Legal Group and Serein Family Law. Her passion for family law is deeply rooted in a commitment to social justice and helping people, which she continues to prioritise in her practice. Having studied abroad at Iowa State University, Irene also possesses a unique international perspective that enriches her practice. In addition to her professional qualifications, Irene engages in continuous learning and professional development, holding memberships with the Family Law Sections of the Law Institute of Victoria and the Law Council of Australia.
