Melissa Holzberger

Melissa Holzberger, Founder and Principal of Sloan Holzberger Lawyers, boasts over 25 years of expertise in advising significant energy and resources corporations both in Australia and globally. Her extensive experience encompasses legal, commercial, and strategic advice for large-scale projects, international trade, corporate governance, risk management, and compliance. Melissa's practice centres on energy, resources, and nuclear law, shaped by her role as in-house Legal Counsel at BHP. Here, she guided BHP's global mining and petroleum operations, enhancing her understanding of the industry's complexities and challenges. Prior to founding Sloan Holzberger Lawyers, Melissa worked with Rio Tinto plc in London, a major Australian commercial law firm, and served as an Associate to a Federal Court Judge. She holds a Master of Laws in Resources Law, a Diploma in International Nuclear Law, and dual degrees in Law and Arts from the University of Adelaide, alongside a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice.
