Matthew Smith

Matthew Smith is a dedicated lawyer at Smith and Stanton, focusing primarily on commercial property law. After obtaining a Bachelor of Arts in Justice Studies and a Bachelor of Laws from the Queensland University of Technology, Matthew began his legal career with Smith and Stanton as a law clerk. He then expanded his professional experience by serving nine years with the Queensland Police Service, including three years as a detective, where he gained valuable investigative skills. In 2010, Matthew returned to Smith and Stanton, bringing with him a wealth of experience and a strong commitment to the firm's values. As a director, he has been instrumental in continuing the legacy set by his parents, the founding partners, Bruce and Judy. Matthew specialises in commercial property transactions, including commercial and retail leasing, as well as property sales and acquisitions, ensuring clients receive the high standard of service synonymous with the firm. His practical experience, combined with a Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice, allows him to provide insightful and effective legal solutions for his clients.
