Emily Shoemark is a key leader at Snedden Hall & Gallop, where she directs the firm's Employment and Business teams, focusing on empowering business clients with precise legal guidance in commercial transactions, intellectual property, and employment law. Joining the firm in 2008 and advancing to Director in 2021, Emily is dedicated to helping organisations navigate complex legal challenges throughout their lifecycle. Her services include advising on intricate business sale and purchase transactions and addressing legal issues across commercial and employment domains. Emily also excels in providing governance and structural counsel, crafting employment contracts, protecting intellectual property, and resolving commercial disputes. She is also a certified Succession Plus advisor, assisting with strategic business succession planning. Beyond her client services, Emily contributes significantly to regulatory and industry bodies. She serves as an approved Secure Local Jobs auditor for the ACT Government, participating since the Secure Local Jobs Code's inception. Additionally, she is a vital member of the ACT Work Health and Safety Council, advising the ACT Minister on employment and workplace safety matters.
