Abigail Steed

Abigail Steed is an accomplished lawyer with three decades of experience in providing legal services to the Mining and Resources Industry. Her journey began in 1993 when she joined the Adelaide-based firm, McDonald & Co, fresh out of law school. Abigail has dedicated her career to the intricacies of mining and resources law, developing a profound understanding and expertise that has been recognised across the industry. Currently practising independently at Steed Lawyers since December 2018, Abigail has been honoured as the 2022 Lawyer of the Year for Native Title Law in Adelaide, demonstrating her commitment and exceptional capabilities in this field. Prior to establishing her own practice, she was a senior consultant at MSM Legal and played a pivotal role as Managing Partner and Partner at McDonald Steed McGrath Lawyers. During her tenure, she also served as Director at McDonald Steed McGrath Lawyers in Laos, providing top-tier legal services to businesses operating in or investing in the region. Her educational foundation includes a Bachelor of Arts in Chinese and a Bachelor of Law, both from the University of Adelaide.
