

Ayla Hutchison is a dedicated Solicitor at Stevens and Associates, joining the firm in 2024. Originally from New Zealand, she was admitted as a Barrister and Solicitor of the High Court of New Zealand in 2021, where she gained valuable experience in property transactions, estate planning, and trust matters for high-net-worth individuals. Her legal journey took her to Australia in 2023 when she was admitted as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of New South Wales. Before her current role, Ayla honed her skills in interstate property transactions and employment law with a prominent Sydney firm, reflecting her commitment to client success in these areas. Ayla has chosen to focus on employment law, driven by her passion for supporting clients through challenging issues, notably unfair dismissal and redundancy matters. Her academic background includes a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Commerce with majors in Human Resources and Industrial Relations from Victoria University of Wellington. During her studies, Ayla actively contributed as an Employment Law Clerk, Human Resources Intern, Industrial Relations Tutor, HRNZ Committee Member, and an Advocacy Volunteer for the Wellington Community Justice Project. Her past positions include roles with Long Saad Woodbridge Lawyers in Sydney and Gallaway Cook Allan Lawyers in New Zealand, where she built a strong foundation in both property and employment law. Additionally, her tenure as a Board Member for HRNZ, combined with experience as a Customer Service Consultant at BNZ, further enhanced her client relations skills. Ayla’s practical insights are complemented by her international educational pursuits at Université Jean Moulin.
